Thought I would do a little work update. :)
Despite the CV-19 weirdness, and the Westminster government's intent to kill off as many of us as possible, I've been working away with various conspirators on a bunch of projects.
Work at Blazing Griffin continues from home, and has done throughout the lockdown. Everyone there has been magnificent, and I'm very proud to be part of that team. I'm also really looking forward to getting the game out to the world. The script is great fun to write, and I hope will bring joy to those who play.
Slink and I have continued on various Embra Again Productions projects. Thanks to Duncan Gillies of Side UK, there's now an alternative audio mix of the big interview with Toby Coffey on 'The Captured Actor'.
Work continues on 'F.M.', our comedy/horror short film. Slink has moved over from Adobe's offerings to using Resolve for editing, so is learning that as he goes. It's slowed things down a little, but will be well worth it in the long run.
Early pre-production has begun on another short film. The major cast are all in place with verbal agreements at this stage. Really want to give more details, but really can't right now. I'm delighted to say that Stewart Jones of Looney Monster Ltd is producing with me on that. His friendship and expertise have been invaluable to me on this new path I'm taking. Expect more on this one soon-ish.
Stu and I are working on something else as well, but that's so early it's pretty much just a twinkle in our collective eyes. (No, neither of us are pregnant - that's just lockdown-belly.)
'The Cliche', the short film Slink and I shot last year for Stewart, is about to be submitted to festivals. Needless to say the CV-19 situation made a real mess of our original plans - ours and so many people's - but it has created an opportunity for us to premier the film a little closer to home than the US, and at just as exciting a festival. There will be more news on that next month.
I think that's all at the moment. Think so...
Stay safe, folks. Please?
